OFFICIAL MIAMI HERF THREAD - AUGUST 19, 2005
We're doing it again! Come join us for another Herfing good time.

Location TBD, but Gatsby's is most likely - they're good to us.

Official sponsors so far are:

CUBAN CRAFTERS - http://www.cubancrafters.com
TORANO - http://www.torano.com

Al, Emilio and Frankie... Thank you once again for your continued support.

Please RSVP in advance so we can enter your name into the raffles and prepare herf packs for everyone. To RSVP just send an email to: solomr2@yahoo.com Significant others, family, friends and guests are also welcome. Bring someone along and introduce them to our herfing celebrations. They won't be disappointed.

Festivities start around 7:30PM and continue until the last cigar is snuffed. We hope to see you all there. For sponsorship information for this or future events in South Florida please contact Phil at the email above.

To join our events notification mailing list just let us know via email and we'll add you to the list.

We alternate between the Gatsby's location in Miami and the one located in Davie in Fort Lauderdale. This next one will probably be in Miami.

Kendall is in Miami. Just click on the Kendall link to get directions and such.

Sorry for the confusion.

I really want to go but I will be deployed and wont make back in time for the September one. If you keep flip flopping then I will definately make the one in Kendall.

Sounds like a great time Eddie  Now granted I live in the Northeast but honestly, if I didn't already have plans for that weekend, I'd consider joining you. :( I've been wanting to make a trip to Miami to meet up with the CPer's down there.

Have fun, I know it'll be a huge success.

Maybe mext time bro. ;) You're always invited.

UPDATE - Just received notice from Jose Ortega at Puros Indios. They will be in attendance and will be sponsoring our herf as well.

Also... Just sent an invite to Saka. He recently re-located to Miami and is working for some cigar company now. No more Lew. No more retail. Very interesting... Wonder who snagged him? hmmm... Let the speculation begin.

Anyway... Let's see if he can make it.

to be continued...

i've always wanted to go to miami, it sounds intriguing.

Added two more sponsors;

Perdomo Cigars - http://www.perdomocigars.com

United Tobacco - http://www.unitedtobaccoinc.com

Looking better and better.

Also, Gatsby's Kendall in Miami is the confirmed location. They are at:
8575 SW 124th Ave.,
Miami, FL
PH: 305-412-2220

They are situated about a block west of the Florida Turnpike, off N. Kendall Dr. (SW 88th St) on the north side, in a shopping strip plaza. Key landmarks in the same plaza include Barnes and Noble and Nova South Eastern University.

Everyone is welcome, so please feel free to invite your friends or relatives. Just send an RSVP to solomr2@yahoo.com so I can make sure we have enough Herf Packs and we can enter you in the raffles.

I hope to see you there.

No need to apologize Manix.

HERFs are just an expression (excuse?) we use to describe a bunch of funloving people getting together to have fun and smoke cigars. I actually like to refer to them as Cigar Celebrations.

Everyone is welcome to our events. There is no cost or obligation of any kind. Our sponsors bring cigar samples for all the guests. The only thing you pay for is your own drinks and/or food you consume (besides what Gatsby's brings out for us). Other than that all you have to do is show-up, have a good time, and go home with a pocket full of cigars.

We encourage everyone who attends to try out the sample cigars, and if they feel compelled they can submit a review of the cigars they smoked on one of these cigar forums to share their experience with others. But this is not mandatory.

Feel free to invite others. Just be sure to let me know how many people are coming and their names so we can be sure to have enough cigars for everyone, and to enter your names into the raffles for free prizes.

Enjoy.

Wow, I don't know where they all came from, but we had over 50 people I think. The Tampa crowd made out very well, they scored big on the raffles and ended the night with a signed humidor by Don Kiki full of cigars, and the very first box (001) of La Carolina that ever came from the factory, signed by Don Kiki also.

That was a fun night!

I'll try to post pictures up soon.
