What?

Bring some smokes, share some smokes, probably buy some more that we don't REALLY need. I just figured we should finally meet so I can more accurately flame you.

There seem to be more and more of us in MI, so I figure it's about time we got together. Since several of us are involved in college one way or another, Winter break makes perfect sense. The problem is that I've got nothing on the specifics yet... so let's get organized people!

Where?

I haven't been to the JR's in southfield, but I know there's no lounge. There is a MI member who actually owns a smoke shop, so I will be PM'ing him about it. Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards Metro detroit somewhere because I know there are many of us in the area, and several shops.

When?

Some time between Dec 26th and 30th. The 26th is a sunday, and likely the best day for everyone. With Christmas and New Year's bookending the week, that makes it tough. UofM is closed for the whole week, so for me, it's not an issue to meet on a weekday.
 
Well, I know for myself, I like to have something to eat before I smoke. I have been meaning to try out a place in Northville at 7 and Haggerty. It's a microbrewery called Bonfire Bistro. I'm not sure how good it is, maybe someone on that side of town can fill me in. I think there's also a place in Novi called Local Color Brewing Co. Im checking it out right now.

Sunday the 26th sounds like as good a day as any. :thumbs:

I will not be able to make it this time around. I'm following the geese down south to get away from this crappy weather, if even for a few days. Maybe I can catch it next time. John
 
Local color is supposed to be a solid place. Haven't heard about the other one...
 
My friend Dale "cigarwolverine52" will be going as well.

I haven't seen anything lately on Local Color, I will check and see if they are still open. They are located in the same complex as Mongolian BBQ, we could always do dinner there, and then head over to LC for drinks and smokes.

Let's have some more Michigan people here!

I'm up for it, where ever it is... I'll need to stop and pick up a couple more tomorrow to have on hand in case... my humidor is quite sad.... It's got one CAO mx2 robusto, a Lars Tetens Limited and a pouch of Jester rolling tobacco I'm saving......

Looks like an excuse to go pick up a rocky patel sun grown I've wanted to try and maybe one of those Sancho Panza Super Fuerte's I hear are so good....
 
I'm on call due to some people getting sick... It looks like you guys are going to have to hold this without me. Guess that's what I get for making a plan.
 
Hey Patrick, I sent you a PM. Very sorry, but I will have to bail out on this one, I have to get to work a lot earlier than expected, and wouldn't be able to stay very long. With it being about an hour drive, I would rather just try again another time soon.

I know there is a Michigan group that gets together on the first saturday of each month out at JR's in Southfield, then moves on to Copper Canyon for drinks.
