Started smoking cigars seriously a few months ago, bought the humidor/sampler from CI for $15 when it was ridiculously cheap, but I find that it doesn't quite hold the humidity well enough. Can't really complain considering the price, but I think I may purchase one of the two humidors shown below. Obviously I'd rather have the more expensive one, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they knew anything about either:

I like the more expensive one better myself. The only thing bad is that hygro. Those are plasit pieces of $$#@!#@. Of course leave it in place but get yourself some beads and a digital hygo. You can get a small one that works well for about $20 if you look.

Of course many here will say COOLERDOR but I prefer the look of a nice humidor myself.

Check out Cheaphumidors.com too as they have good stuff for decent prices.

Have fun shopping.

Yeah i also like the look of a humidor. It's a piece of furniture, not merely a means of keeping cigars fresh.

I have the second one you linked to, and I can say it has been a great humi. I have had it for about 1 yr.

I have the 1st one shown, or at least its VERY similar! I really like it...I just got it from a friend of mine and now I use it as my guest humidor. Highly suggest it! I would look around though, those prices seem a bit high. Check Holts.com out as well as the sites already posted. Good luck!!

Of course the more expensive one is my preference. Just to give you another option, I personally have this humi http://www.cubancrafters.com/products.php/item_id/266 It has plenty of room and holds the humidity right where I want it. Also came with a 75 cigar sample pack which are not too bad for freebies!

They also have glass tops, some a little cheaper and some more expensive than what you are looking at. Just my .02 :whistling:

Good luck with whatever you decide.
