I got into my car after quick trip to the b&m and a long day at work. I had discovered a mix disc I had made for myself a while ago and decided to give a listen on the way home.
THE CIGAR
Comacho Corojo (might be a figurado)
This cigar (so Comacho says) is the only "true Corojo" cigar made. the pre-light was great, smooth and even draw...well constructed, flawless wrapper. I decided to light it up and turn on the cd player.
(1st song...the Devil Dogs, Can I see you tonight?)
This cigar hit me like Ike Turner after a few "drinks". Huge notes of spice were everyhwere, i would definately classify this a strong cigar. big Corojo flavour everwhere.
(2nd song...Bad Religion, Against the grain)
After about 3 minutes into this monster, the flavour profile did not change at all. I started to smile, this was a really strong and robust smoke, and the spicyness did not lessen at all. It was burning as straight as Will Smith on his wedding night.
(3rd song...Slayer, South of heaven)
Another inch or so, my ash was still fully intact, and had no signs of faltering, but I had to ash itto keep the ash off my clothes. Still burning beautifully. The flavour has remained the same for about the first two inches, fabulous smoke.
(4th song...The Dictators, Faster and Louder)
The profile started to change about halfway through, alot of the spice notes left the party, and replaced by an old-school beatdown to strength. This cigar totally had me up against the ropes. The flavour became very dense, and more of a traditional ISOM/Cohiba double ligero fest. It was a welcome change of pace, as I was getting annoyed by the huge spice.
(5th song...Velvet Underground, Venus in Furs)
The cigar at this point was about an inch from the band, and the shape (smothing with a tip, not a cap) probably had quite a bit to do with the flavour staying the same the rest of the way home.
(6th song...Skinny Puppy, Chainsaw)
Overall, when I want a heavy full bodied stick this is what I will reach for. It is the first cigar in quite a while I had a bit of a nicotine buzz going when I got home. It was like 108 outside, and if it was any cooler I probably would have nubbed the s.o.b. I heard the smoke is still pretty new, but everyone should definately give it a shot.
