I picked up 2 of these yesterday while at my local smoke shop because I've been on the prowl to find a smaller 'gar that I can smoke while on my 40 min lunch break at work.

Today after a short rain shower the sun decided to grace our little part of Bayern Germany with a short visit. I decided to grab one of my favorite brews and go outside to try one.

Here is a picture of me holding the cigar its about 6 inches long and has a ring of 44.

Lets get down to business! Here is the still wrapped cigar next to my tools of the trade, and its half-way smoked kin (the towel was to wipe the rain off my garden chair)

A close up of the above picture, showing how small this little power house is.

And as a bonus a picture of my 4 year-old trying to get me to come inside and my 15 year-old reading a book lol

What can I say about this smoke? Well to start its STRONG!!! It has to be the strongest little cigar I've had. Within an inch my lower lip was numb and I started to get a nice tobacco buzz  But while strong it wasn't at all harsh. It had a tight draw that I was able to massage out and around half length it was filling my mouth with a ton of tasty smoke with every draw.

None of that "Buttery Earthy Nutty" crap with this baby... straight out pepper and spice from beginning to end. As I nubbed it I realized I had one hell of a rush going, on terms with some of the better and larger ISOMs I've smoked.

I really enjoyed this cigar, but think if they use the same mix in their bigger smokes that they might be too overpowering. If your a fan of powerful cigars and don't have too much time to enjoy a big one, this little smoke might just be what your looking for.

*edit* They cost 3€ each

Hi Wurm,

Thanks for the great review and the nice pictures. :) Ahh, beer and smokes. Is there anything better on a nice day outside?

I totally agree about matching the blend to the size. Some smokes are just too powerful for too long and smoking them gets to be a chore. However, pack that same blend into a small smoke and it could still leave you sweaty but not to the point of sickness.

Thanks guys :) The pictures do help tell the story, one of the reasons I always enjoy your reviews Wilky.

I gave the second one to Double D today as we drove out to do some work on his Hunting Revier, and he really liked it as well.

Definately going to grab a handful of these next time I'm in the city.

Now I'm completely confused.... I smoked Maria Manchini and have a couple of boxes of these... but band is completely different than on the picture... What did I miss?

No idea... however every Maria Mancini I have seen over here in Germany has the band in my picture. So it probably is a regional thing.

Oh that reminds me, I found out the deal with the cigar band... My review is of a special release. And my B&M can't get any more :( I wish I had of bought a box when I had the chance.

I bought of DeGaulle maduros a few years back. Came in a very solid cedar box. It took close to 3 months for them to dry out enough to loos the bitter edge, and another 3-4 months to open up and taste decent. This is a very straight forward cigar. All tobacco flavor and not complex at all. BUT when they finally came around, they filled the billet perfectly. A medium body, medium strength, 30 minute cigar, that was good enough not to pitch, but not so good I had to concentrate on. For example, washing the car, walking the dog, waiting outside a shop for the better half, you get the idea.

I am thinking of buying some to put away. I have enough cigars that are aged to do it, but I think I want to split between the two. Not sure yet, the price is right, but there are other cigars I gravitate to.

Great post! I like these cigars, it just takes time for them to come around. Great bang for the buck too. BTW, the MMMM are the best in this line of cigars!

Thanks for the review Emo, they sound like just the ticket with some age on them.

This one of the first cigars that I smoked, donated as a generous newbie welcome from a great BOTL. I loved it and decided to get a few more. I burned one of them immediately after I bought it from the B&M. I was so bitter that I had to put it out. The other I let sit for a few months and it reminded me of the first one. Good little smoke, but I agree with Emo, the MMMM is best in the line.
