Bought a box of these because they were cheap and were available in a connecticut wrapper which I am usually a big fan of. After 2 days in the humi (a little premature I know) I decided to try one.

The draw was extremely tight. I have never had a plugged stick before but I imagine this is what it what be like. Smoke was very lacking. Taste was very bitter and only got worse as the stick went down. No good notes at all. There were many dead spots that resulted in a black hole in the ash which held for about an inch. Construction was very loose and a slight squeeze would result in a cracked wrapper and big air gaps in the filler. This was not a good experience.

I am not giving up on them though, they got good reviews from other BOTLs. Maybe a few months in the humi will work wonders, who knows.

Consider that, given the price, that quality control isn't a big consideration. I stock and smoke a lot of Connies. At a buck a stick on average, I accept that I'm going to get a stinker a bit more often than I would in a more expensive cigar.
