Have not had the opportunity to have any high dollar cigars, but I am sure a fan of the mid-price Maduros.

Am smoking an AVO Maduro right now that is great. Smooth flavor so far, even burn, mild leathery hints, kinda creamy even.

Most of the smokes I enjoy are maddies it seems. What are some other favorites in the under $10 range?

Under $5?

ERDM Robusta Larga
ERDM Robusta Suprema
Excalibur - any (NOT the 1066)
Hoyo de Monterrey - any
Oliva
Sancho Panza
Arturo Fuente 858 Flor Fina
Arturo Fuente Chateau Fuente
Rocky Patel Vintage 1990
Mayorga
La Unica
Cuesta Rey Centennial
Cupido

They're all under $5/stick from the internet retailers.

Of those, I have tried the Hoyo, and the Fuente and liked them both. My wife picked me up a Rocky Patel 1990 the other day and is currently residing in the humi awaiting its day of reckoning!

Biblefreak? With A picture of A glock for an avatar and also smokes cigars too funny. :D Anyways dont forget the CAO maduro A very good choice and still A decent price.

Mephiston-

It takes all kinds, right?!

I like CAO, but the only one I have tried (repetitively) is the La' Anniverserie Extreme, ahh, what a fine cigar! I have a CAO Maduro in the humi, just haven't gotten around to trying it.

Does LGC make a maduro outside of the Serie R line? The Serie R maddie is very nice, but I am thinking a maddie in there regular line would be a good budget smoke.

BTW the Glock? I love firearms in general, but have a strong appreciation for Gaston's pistols.

Definately on the padron  As far as the firearms go I am A fan of H&K and Wilson I presently have the later.

To CCs list I would add:

Don Tomas International
CAO MX2
CAO Brazilia (esp Anaconda)
LFD DL Chisel - (Dark Natural - according to write-up but seemed Maduro to me)
Aristoff Black
High Monk (Subculture)

Nice to see somebody else that likes the DE line and subculture to.
the brazilia also on the everyday gotta have it list..but I thought the price might be a little high for the post.

Biblefreak If you dont mind raiseing the dollar a bit the Diamond Crown
#7 maduro is A must try.

Yes I would look into the Padron 2000 and the Onyx maddies. They can be had for under $5.

You cant go wrong with the Sancho Panza MAduro's or the Extra Fuertes..

NIce inexpensive cigar..with a great maduro kick.. :D

Take Treamayne's advice and add the Mx2 to your list. That is about as maduro as you can get!. Both wrapper and binder, doesn't get much better than that.

K. Honsatia Signature 101, under $5 sometimes on cbid, $8 on CI.

Well, he did say under $10 or under $5...So I listed a few of both. I guess I should add:

<$10 / stick
CAO Brazilia (esp Anaconda)
LFD DL Chisel - (Dark Natural - according to write-up but seemed Maduro to me)
High Monk (Subculture)

<$5 per stick
Aristoff Black
Don Tomas International
CAO MX2

Hopefully not the only one, but the Punch Gran Cru aint too bad (around 5 bucks) and, I guess technically its not categorized maduro but, the Rare Corojo aint too bad neither. Really I'm just posting hoping someone from the company appreciates the free advertising and sends me some cigars. Thank you. I'm also a big CAO man (any sticks would be appreciated) and highly recommend the Brazilia, a definite go-to.

EDIT: Also, AVB, the current 'cigar girl' containing Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton pales in comparison to the ones of the past. I'm talking comparing the inside of a coffin on a moonless night to a fresh coat of powder in the antartic. Definite boner-kill.
