Well I got some of these real cheap on Cbid a couple weeks ago and thought I would give them a try.
The Macoba is a 5 x 20 cigar from Germany sold in boxes of 20. I guess this is my first box purchase as well.
The cigar looked pretty well made, all of them had a nice appearance in the box.
Prelight aroma was actually pretty nice, just be careful not to inhale the whole cigar while taking a sniff.
The cigar lit up well and did not require any touch ups or relights. Ash was a grey color that held on well for such a small cigar.
Overall flavor was not bad at all, not great, but not bad. Slightly sweet with perhaps a touch of butter/cream and some chocolate mixed in. Not spicy at all, a mild smoke for sure. The amount of smoke this little thing produced was nice. Draw was easy and the taste was pleasing and smooth.
Yep, I nubbed it.
It took about 10 minutes to smoke this little guy. Just right for the cold Alaska weather we are having. When I don't have much time or the weather is just way too stinking cold for an hour smoke, these little cigars will fill in nicely.
Overall, for less than 7 cents each including shipping, the Macoba is a nice little cigar with enough flavor to keep you interested for the 10 minutes it takes to finish this little cigar. Mild, yet flavorful. A nice quickie smoke.
