MACALLAN BUY!

I have a chance to pick up a few bottles of 30 year old Macallan CHEAP. This stuff can go for as much as $550 a bottle in some stores. Even Hi Time Wine has it listed at $550 and Binny's is $450.

I can get it delivered to your door for $325 (US 48, more for HI & AK).

First come first served, I may be able to get 4 bottles but most likely 3.

In light of This Review would this be a jumping on point, or is it better to wait a bit. I picked up the samplers I mentioned in my thread. Alas I am worried about a.) moving to quickly and b.) going beyond my ability to appreciate the product.

As I am just starting and unsure how deeply I'll delve (since I don't even know yet if, or how much, I like scotch) I'm guessing I'd be better off trying all these 10-12 yrs. and moving to the 25 you mentioned, if I like what I have.

Conversely, would the chance to try somehting far beyond the 10-12 yr sampler I bought really bring home how great a great Scotch can be?
