Wasn't sure whether to put this in the Humidor section or here...

FYI! After years of great service I lost my Lotus T3 tabletop lighter. I bought a Lotus T4 while out of town about 7-8 months ago.

It quit, and after all the usual troubleshooting remedies, it's still a no go. Turns out after calling them, I get to pay to ship it to them, and pay to have it repaired even though not even a year old.

I have a Xikar hand held that was gifted to me about four years ago that quit. I took it into a shop on the same time frame I bought this one (A B&M where they don't know me), and they exchanged it on the spot free of charge per Xikar's instructions for all of their products.

Wish I would have spent my money on the Xikar tabletop now. I like their no fuss business model a lot better.

Nah, I am not interested in any chick who looks like she can whip my ass!

I have been loyal to XIKAR for many years..........yes, sometimes their products fail, but always the company makes it right.  I'm glad you've had the same experience.

Exactly! Stuff breaks...... When paying a premium though, one would expect at least a year free of defects. Just over six months sucks!
Xikar wouldn't have even disappointed me had they told me there would have been charges after a year.
Can't beat a free replacement after four years.

I have a Tatuaje Lotus Table lighter and it was great for 3 years, now it is acting up.  My B&M helps me when they can to fix it, but it is turning out to be more hassle than it is worth.  I never complained or contacted Lotus as I didn't pay for the lighter, it was a gift....

I will be looking at a Xicar this summer for a more efficient lighter and something that is stood behind and guaranteed.
