i can order everything else they carry except cigars and some of the smaller thing have min quantity limits but if anyone want anything else pm and i will give you a price but if it is expensive i will need payment first.

He posted in the retailer room. Made no bones about how he was getting the lighters and he is offering prices that are as good I can find on line and is including shipping:?

If you do a search, you will see he offered this same deal before and people seemed pleased.

What is the issue with what he is doing?

I am not trying to beat on Chet. In fact I bought a lighter from him previously and had no issues with that. However I did not know he was turning a profit. Might be my bad if I didn't check exactly what thread it was posted in.

One of the better themes here IMHO is we aren't to profit off our brothers. Now I don't have any issue with retailers working their business here. Most take exceptional care of the CP family but if Chet is turning a profit here I think it should be open and straight forward. Not that I am implying anything other than that in this thread. I simply was not aware that he is a retailer.

My question is can I then sell cigars at a profit in this forum? As long as it is clearly stated that is what I am trying to do.

Then is this any different than CP's ebay forum?

Actaully, in my opinion, you did imply that by asking if he was "making a few bucks for his efforts".

If you had a question about his sources, you could have asked like Gary did in this thread or sent him a private message.

I agree one of best things about this place is the looking out for each other and running profiteers off as soon as they show up.

I just couldn't see what you were questioning him about when he told us where and how he is able to get these lighters.

First we dont even know if he is makihng a profit, he has not responded. Although the list he posted looks like the wholesale list price but that is a guess on my part.

Second, if you want to sell cigars here for a profit, and have decided to become a retailer, B&M style or internet based,I dont think anyone has a problem with that as long as you do it in the right manner and right room (retailer room). No one here begruges our retail members for making a profit for their business, as you said most treat the other members very very well.

If that means this place is like ebay in your mind, so be it.
