Hello all,

I have been looking around at some mid size humidores. I was wondering what you guys thought about this one, anyone using one?

humi

I have one from the same supplier that is one of their 100 cigar humidores, I like it but it was the first one I bought. It is about to overflow.

Just looking for opinions on this one or suggestion for another supplier of a comparable sized unit. I want another in the 300-500 capacity size that will be easy to maintain and will take good care of my smokes.

Thanks for any info.

Mike

ROFL, now THAT's a deal!!!

I think my brother has that one AK and he likes it. But IMO it's just going to prolong you getting a larger one :)

Also you may want to look into getting a humidor

i have a friend with one and he loves it.......but i think you can get the exact one on ebay for alot less

Heh, Heh,
yeah I missed that $1700 BS. I definately can tell these humidores are not the finely hand crafted custom made products he is comparing them to but for the money they seem like a good deal. The small one I have is great ,nice seal, and built solid (not solid amboyna though), and I like the humidification set up, it lasts about a month or so between recharging with PG. I could smell the spanish cedar before I opened the shipping box up.

I am just wondering if anybody was using any of these larger sized humidores. I am trying to decide if I should go this rout or another way for a larger capacity rig. This forum is making it hard to resist the overwelming urge to order another box of cigars and I am about to run out of room.

Thanks again guys.

Mike

Go big... go bigger!

I started with a 150 count, and promptly upgraded to a 100 quart coolidor. That soon overflowed and now I'm on the 1200 count cabinet from Cheaphumidors...

My advice, if I haven't said it, is go big!

Check out Tampa Humidor. I bought one for my son and their customer service was great and a good deal as well.

x2 on tampa humidor

but also, do a search on coolidors - that's my recommendation. they're cheap, easy to build, and don't be afraid to go big!

get the biggest thing you can afford, I have a 150 count that I spent a pretty penny on, now I am trying to talk the wife into a wine cooler humi or a cabinet. get what you can afford, just go big.

Thanks for the fast replies guys.

I think you boys are definately steering me in the right direction. I was looking through all the old posts and saw Swissy's thread on the Connoisseur, that may be the way to go.

How much upkeep does something like that require? Man o man with something that big you almost need to stock up , don't ya?

Thanks again guys.

Ditto on bigger. I think there is a cigar fairy that goes around to people with new humis. Whatever size you get the fairy doubles the cigars you have and makesthe humi too small to hold all you have. Good hunting.

PM me the humidor you want and I'll get it for you cheaper.

X3 on Tampa humidor. What you need to figure on is, which one is closer to you for the shipping or, freight.
Definitely go big. I upgraded five times already. My last purchase was the Verona and, I am now getting ready to go get my first Coolidor. They are both the same price on Cheap & Tampa. However, Tampa gave me a cheaper Freight quote.
Also, if you look online at Tampa they will let you make offers on Humidors. If you stay in reason they will most likely accept them.
That is a generous offer Rod is throwing your way as well. Check it out.

Hey Mike...

I have this exact humidor (the 300ct. Treasure Dome). It works fantastic and has been extremely reliable. It's been a perfect 62% for months and months. All that being said... my humidor is going to need a new home in the next month or so.

On the other hand... the comments about 'go bigger, go bigger' are definitely something you may want to consider carefully. ;)

I have that one and love it. It is definitely not big enough but my cooler takes care of that. I was able to pick it up for $120 as an imperfect, only slight damage to 1 corner, I can barely notice it.

I would recomend that you go with Rod, but if not cheap humidors has another imperfect here.

I haven't bought from Rod, but have only heard good things.

I've been looking into this one and other options as well (preferably in the 300 count). I stumbled across this just this morning. It's an old article from CA with a review on this humi.

Hmm...when the time comes, if it's not spoken for, I might be interested in buying this :whistling:
