Hi all! looking for some advice here:
i have a 150 count humidor that is fairly full, and had been stabilized in the 68%-71% humidity range. Buddy gave me a box of sticks, and i placed the 25 in the top shelf while i seasoned another small humidor. Not really realizing (my mistake), but the top shelf of cigars sucked all the moisture out of the humidification brick and are slightly spongy; while blocking all the good stuff in the main humi portion. All of the cigars in the bottom portion are feeling a little dry to the touch. I wedged my digital hygrometer in the lower portion and the reading is still 66%, and they not at the point of cracked wrappers; they are just not feeling smooth and oily as they had about 3 weeks ago.
I moved the 25 sticks out of the large humi and into their new home, refilled the brick AND added 2 x boveda packs to help. my questions are:
1. will this solve the dry problem?
2. should my sticks be okay flavor wise?
3. any other recommendations to solve this dry issue?
Thanks in advance!
