Little advice on beads

Okay, I've perused various threads and have gotten educated (somewhat) on beads, but still have a few questions that I'm hoping can get answered. I tried asking Viper, but he seems to be avoiding me ???

Here is the deal; I have a 600 ct humi with 3 levels and currently have 2 humidifers that are affixed to the top of the lid. I would probably guess that I have about 300 cigars in the humi. My questions are:

1. Considering my humi and the number of cigars I have, what bead configuration would you suggest? That is, should I go with the small bead tubes (which are good for about 50-75 cigars) and put one on each level, or is there something else that would be better?

2. Am I thinking about this correctly? That is, if I got 5 tubes, that would cover about 250-375 cigars? Or does it not work that way?

3. I want something small and inconspicous, which is why I like the idea of the small tubes, however, I'm open to suggestions.

4. With the beads, I assume that I still keep my humidifers in place and manage them the same. Am I correct?

Any help you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated.

I'm confused, I have not been avoiding you. :( Not sure how you tried to contact me but I'm sorry if I missed it.

First off your logic is correct, you can use many small tubes and have the same efficiency in humidifying that you have with one large one. Dividing up the beads in the diffferent levels is a good idea, it help to balance the rh throughout the humi.

You can leave the factory humidifier in place but don't have to. Just make sure that the PG solution that is in them does not come in contact with the beads, it will ruin the beads. The beads absorbing the moisture that the factory units put out is OK they just should not touch the PG solution directly.

I 2nd this...viper is always great at getting back to you on questions, and he sells an awesome product.

I was only busting Viper's balls ;)

Thanks for the advice, I intend to make a purchase from you later today!

By the way, Viper, the "stinky" ashtray looks pretty cool. Perhaps I'll pick up one of those when you get them in stock, not that I really need another ashtray :)

Consider by balls busted

You can never have too many ashtrays

I agree with your logic (concerning the ashtray and cigars for that matter). Now if that logic would just carry through to my wife

Hey Viper, one other question (and I apologize if this has been asked a hundred times before) but it is okay to stack cigars on top of the bead tubes, correct? I don't have much spare room in my humi and I'd rather not see the tubes either; therefore, if I could stack my cigars on top of them that would be great.

Not a problem. The end caps will keep the boxes off of the actual tube enough to give space for air circulation.

You will never convince your wife, I have been trying for 24 years and it has not worked yet.

Minor Hijack:

Viper...you're going to start carrying the stinky ashtray? If I had known, I would have held off on buying one in order to give you my buisiness. I just got mine in. Great product! I can't wait to break it in as soon as I get home tonight!
