I wish Pugman, but I have been recently enjoying this state of being alive. I am a man that knows how to keep my home a happy place instead of UFC match... "Do as mama says". She is pretty good with me doing/spending whatever, but there are those occasions when she nicely asks to put a halt to the needless spending for a couple days. . . I will have to wait and give it until Fri.

If they're gone by then, so be it. . . but let it be known, I have the noise of a mutant bloodhound, and will track down that box
and the person who snagged them! :laugh:
 
I'll split the box of rats with you if they are willing to ship. If you want the whole box, I have plenty of other sticks to work on.

Fortunately for me, my wife doesn't ask alot of questions...most of the time.

Engspot! I just went back through and read the tread. I missed your post. Forgive me, please- the box is all yours. You clearly had me on this one. If you are willing to part, and do a box split, I am deff. interested. Im not partial to the box either- just the sticks. LMK what you'd like to do... and again my sincere apologies. Just talked to the B&M and as of this morning they have stopped box sales on the Dirty Rat, and put a 1 stick per week limit on singles. Sorry fellas.

Remember fellaz, get the new Drew Estate App for Iphone, Ipad, etc and you can locate things a bit easier. Just go to the APP section and put in Drew Estate.

Limiting sales to one per week is not unheard of... Sucks, but its true.

Let us know when the DE app is ready for Android, not all of us have drank the coolaid :cool:

On the Dirty Rats and Feral Flying Pigs. They're treating them like the hard to find Fuentes. Its a Compliment if you ask me, lol.

I definitely agree with you that it is a compliment (I guess I was just mixed up). They are certainly a fine retailer. They were one of the very first retailers that came to the Drew Estate factory back in Oct 2008. They are a wonderful family as well.

Liga's are great! I just wish my B&M could get them, I won't set foot in the one that does carry (err gouge) them. Need to get some in JShepherd Cigars! He can get Undercrown and the others, but he says you guys won't give him LP.....
 
Damn ! There goes that idea... These cigars have been evading me for some time.
If I had an iPhone, iPad, etc... I would deff. download that app JD ! Sounds like an amazing idea.
Now I need to keep hunting for a retailer with a box of these still. . .
No biggie, I love the hunt... :cool: You can run but you can't hide Rats !!

Certainly. Duke City had a fantastic lounge, excellent humidor, friendly service and great events when I departed in early '08 The last time I was in Albuquerque their opening hours had been slashed to the point I couldn't catch them open. Additionally, I know they were trying very hard to get their online business running; now it seems they don't even own their domain name any more.

Not a slight against the great people there. It seems like rough times hit them hard. Perhaps there is some back story there that I'm not aware of? I just know I wanted to give them my business again but couldn't find an opportunity to do so.

Oh! :D I thought you meant duke city as in Albuquerque as a whole. My mistake.

You definitely hit that one on the head though... They closed shop right after the new year. That's where I bought my first humidor so it's hard to see them go.
 
If anyone happens to locate some #9's, I'd be happy to pay for a fiver if it eases the pain of a full box ( and yes, I have the dough in PayPal, so I won't screw it up this time). I'm in if one of you swings it.

Hell no! I'm an ABQ fan, especially for food. The week I was out there was a mad dash to eat at all of my old faves: Il Vicino, Flying Star, Twisters (a lot of people say there are better breakfast burritos, but I think the Taos is heaven in a tortilla), The Burrito Lady... you know, a Flying Star Turkey Jack would really hit the spot right now...

Damn shame about Duke City Cigar though. Great folks and fond memories. Plus it was always convenient to hit on my way home from work. At least Monte's is still doing great.
