What: Monthly LI Area Meetup

When: The THIRD Wednesday of every month starting at 6:30pm, going until whenever.

Where: RARE650 650 Jericho Turnpike, Syosset

Who: Anybody in the LI area (tri-state and city boys count) who wants to hang out, catch up, talk and smoke cigars, drink and eat.

I'm doing this because Sean had a good idea so we can hope to meet at least once a month. There will be months I cannot make it, but that doesn't matter, others will be able to. I don't care if it's just a couple guys or it's the whole LI area crew, the idea is to just get some consistency.
 
I met up with Jay and Christian recently at Rare650, and had a great time. We tossed around the idea of making it a more regular thing, so we're stealing Sean's idea. We figured the 3rd Wednesday would be good in case any of the LI guys want to go out to the city on the 2nd Weds, or the city guys want to come out to the Island on the 3rd.

The restaurant has a nice outdoor area that is covered in case of bad weather. Good drinks, good cigars, and a good time were had by all. I'm hoping we can keep this tradition. And just like with the city meet up, it doesn't have to be at 650, that's just where we met last time. We can adjust as needed.

I wanted to keep the 1st post clean (which didn't really happen since it kept combining the posts), and just edit it for the location as needed. June's meet up will be on the 16th.
 
Figures I have to miss the first one because I'll be out of the country on business. Rare is a great steakhouse that encourages cigar smoking. Anyone able to make it should definitely go.

Great idea to do this Tom, I'll definitely be at the July meet up.

Can't make this month, but will certainly make my best effort for next.
 
Man figures ill miss this by one day in August will be town from 5th to 17th hopefully there will be another meet during then.

When I saw this post I was hoping I could somehow finagle it. Unfortunately, it seems iike I won't be on the Island until the week of 6/28. You guys have fun!

Hauppauge isn't even close to the sticks ... in Long Island terms, anyway.

As far as the people on the civilized end of the Island go, I think it's safe to assume the sticks start just east of Babylon.
 
BTW ... we have a partial 'Chumps' golf get-together scheduled for the 29th.
Anyone local or interested, shoot me a PM for the details.
 
Less than a week away. I'm not sure if I'll be there, but I'm assuming we're keeping the location the same?
