Hey fellas (and gals), just thought I'd take a minute to share some info about a new release from La Gloria Cubana I got today at my local b&m.

Seems as though the main folks of LGC are going to be here in Albuquerque tomorrow to introduce a brand new blend called the Artesanos Retro Especiale at our LGC sponsored cigar club. It is a Connecticut wrapper cultivated in Honduras, a Nicaraguan/Mexican double binder with Nicaraguan and Dominican ligero.

Some of the guys at the shop had pretty good things to say about this new offering so I'm fairly excited to try the one they gave me. I plan to sit down with it later this week so I'll post up my first impressions but if any one beats me to the punch, please feel free to chime in.

Are any of you guys La Gloria smokers? Any thoughts?

I used to love those LGC Serie R maduros but the last cigar I've tried from them was the LGC Artesanos de Miami Sabrosos (robusto). I still have a couple left from a 10'ner, forgot what they taste like. When I find them, I'll smoke one to see if they changed any.

When Ernesto Perez-Carrillo left LGC to start his EPC line, I followed his releases. Still chasing them, in fact.

Let us know if this new smoke is worth chasing!
