Hey all. Ok I'm a newbie here and a newbie to cigar smoking. I finally made it home from the sandbox for leave and stopped in at Tobacco Village in Greensburg my first day and pick up a sampler to help me expand my knowledge. This is my first review so I will do my best but constructive critism is welcome.
La Flor Dominicana

Well right now the evenings in Pennsylvania are perfect for smoking. So I go out on the porch and inspect the stick. Again I am new but to me it looked great. Nice dark wrapper, only one very small vein, and a nice firm feel all the way around. So I toasted the foot and fired it up. Being a short smoke it lit quickly and a very sharp pepper taste rolled across my palete. As I got a little further into the first third I started tasting hints of leather that left a nice flavor on the palete. Pulling into the second third the pepper died down a little and the leather became more profound. Also all throughout the the second third there were different hints of cream, earth, and nut. The last third back to the pepper again from what I got to smoke of it. My wife is due to have a baby any day and she started having contractions so I had to go upstairs and double check the hospital bag and everything else so I only got to enjoy a short bit of it.
Throughout the whole cigar it burned evenly with a tight light gray ash. It didn't burn hot and I really enjoyed it to the point I would probably get a 5'er but not a whole box at this point. There is still so much I need to try before I start buying boxes.
