I first became intrigued by this cigar from Moki's review, and then was gifted one by a great BOTL at The Outlaw. Thanks bud!

Ambiance: Patio - 8pm at night w/ a glass of Cielo, after a big light meal.
Prelight aroma: very nice, earthy.
Prelight draw: very good draw, tasty, seemed pleasant but a hint of sweetness
Construction: Very well made. I really like the pigtail at the end. The cellophane pushed it down and made it look like a button on the top of a cap. The cigar seems rather bumpy compared to other LFDs I have smoked. However, this seems to be a theme I am noticing in these smaller RG and longer cigars.
The Experience:
This cigar lit perfectly from the get go. It seemed to have quite a bit of peppery taste in the first few draws, and a hell of a lot of smoke. I'm suprised at how much smoke this little cigar puts out. After the first centimeter, the peppery bite subsided but is slightly noticeable and has been replaced with tastey tobacco and earthy/woody characteristics.
Halfway through the cigar the peppery taste is almost completely gone. I am doing a little studying while smoking this cigar, and due to my inattention have let it go out a couple of times. I didn't think I put it down that long. I'm guessing that because of it's small ring guage, the ash or cherry isn't very large so it needs to be smoked more consistently. The flavors have taken on more leathery and woody characteristics. The smoke is still very volumonous, when it is lit. There is definitely a little bit of nicotine in this puppy; I am starting to feel it already (no I don't think it is the tequila).
Three-fourths through the cigar the peppery taste seems to have returned a little, I notice it on the back of my palate. I know what it is; the Cielo seems to be counteracting the peppery taste. If I drink a little before I smoke, there doesn't seem to be much pepper. It now has a more woodsy taste, deeper, fuller. I still am really enjoying this cigar and can feel a little nicotine buzz.
The last stretch seems to be charactarized by a somewhat bitter taste. I don't think I have had burnt Sencha before, but that is probably pretty darn close. It tastes somewhat tarry, very thick, but not unpleasant. The cigar seems to want to go out much more easily now, but I am determined to finish it.
Finish time: 10pm
I think I'll have to pick up some of these.
Cheers,
