Awesome cigar...thankfully these are a little more moist than they should be and tamed the ligero down. I would be afraid of this cigar if it was at 60% rh. I'll post a more detailed review later.

Still working on the cigar, but one flavor stands out....

Just kidding. I actually love Litto's blend with the A so far. It is every bit as good as the Lancero and am very happy that I was able to get a box & a half.

I'll post a full review tomorrow. Lots of time left on this cigar and the Colts are on so....

The LfD Double Ligero Natural Oscuro "A" was a great cigar. It's really hard to not compare this to the Lancero, but it seemed to be the big brother to the Lancero in every regard...just bigger.

I didn't take any pix during the smoke, but I do have some next to the Lancero.

The "A" is a good sized cigar, 9 x 47, and from all the DL's I've smoked I felt a little hesitant lighting this one.

First light was a tad spicy, but not overpowering. Flavor reminds me of fruit & tapatio...sweet with enough kick to compliment. I think it's an awesome combination and a very desirable blend for a ligero heavy cigar. The whole cigar was rich - from start to finish and not a dull moment for the whole 3 hours I smoked it. (I'm a slow smoker...ask Strayvector)

The only real complaint about the cigar was in the first 3 inches or so the ash was extremely flaky and split in half. Thank Gawd I'm the housekeeper in the basement.

I keep my humidor approximately at 65%, but I think that because of the ligero content in the DL line, if I had dry boxed the A more a few hours before smoking I would have probably keeled over before I smoked half the cigar. As it was though, it was a really great cigar that I enjoyed a lot. This is one time that I am glad that I 'over bought', I ended up getting 15 of these and *hopefully* will be able to crack open that full box sometime next year.

Great looking cigar and nice review, Rob. But based on my smoking of the Lancero in natural and oscuro natural, I'd be flat on my back for sure. :(

As you pointed out before, ligero is more hydroscopic than the rest of the leaves. I don't know if keeping them at a higher rh would tame the cigar but I do know that if I drybox any DL for 2-3 hours the ligero really gains in intensity.

Could very likely just be because dryer leaf will burn hotter, and burn faster.

great review, i'll be posting one tonight on the Chisel.. i wobbled away from it, after being stored at ~62%
