I just bought this one the other day, LDF Chiselito DL Maduro I believe. When I first tasted it, WOW. I was thinking, oh boy if this stick stays this potent. My first thought was this stick was gonna beat down the LFD DL The Chisel but after smoking this stick, its really mellowed out to like a Medium bodied cigar. Wooo...I was really worried this one was going to be the end of me at first.

It did require some attention to straighten out the burn, but it wasnt bad at all. The ash was pretty dark as well. Also, the ash doesnt get far before it wants to drop off on the keyboard or the ashtray. Plenty of smoke on this one and the draw was very nice. It was beautifully constructed as well. The wrapper didnt crack at all and not like any LFD has on me either. I can see where the oil is coming out at the burn and sizzling nicely as well. I cant say that it has much of a flavor profile due to its strength, but you can tell its a LFD without a doubt. It has the unique taste that I havent seen in any other smoke. I would buy this stick over and over since it really hits the range I like to smoke. Sometimes I want something lighter, but this is perfect. I'd give this bad boy a 9 out of 10 rating. Kudos to Smokyballs for bringing my attention to this smoke.

Its 5" x 44 gauge from the Dominican Republic. The rest, i do not know details about its inner construction.

Final thought, if you cant handle the DL Chisel but like the flavor, try the DL Chiselito.

I smoked my first one of these on Saturday and was utterly blown-away by it. What a super-tasty ass-kicking little stick!

Lots of sweet-spice and cocoa in the profile, and a really cool shape (that oddly reminded me of smoking a pipe...)

These have shot right to the top of my shopping list!

Nice comment on the stick. It is a great stick that can be enjoyed. I am glad that you found a keeper!!

Enjoyed your thoughts Loren, I like this little guy as well. I haven't had the Chisel version yet, but I thought it reminded me of the DL Lancero.

Good smoke.

Nice review. These are on my short list and I am eager to try some. Thanks

I am yet to try one of these, but I think I need to. Thanks for the review!
