While I found the maduro wrapped version of this to be overpowering, the natural wrapper on this stick was a perfect match for the increased ligero in the body.

Punched it twice (once on each side); nice firm draw, rich taste pre-light. Lit beautifully and burned dead even all the way down. Volumes of smoke, 2.5 inch ash before it dropped. Body stayed firm all the way to the end.

This was what I would call a meaty cigar. Bouquet for the first half reminded of the smell you get when you drop a well-peppered Porterhouse on a hot grill. Flavor was rich and leathery, with a sense of meatiness and authority. Long finish, but not harsh.

Last third became a little harsh, but I think that was the result of punching it twice. Next time I'll just put one hole in it, closer to the head.

The last third also left me with a sense of fullness in my head that I associate with a nicotine overload. Also began to burn my lips and tongue, not sure if that was heat from the burn or getting tar from the two holes.

These are definitely a smoke that I'd like to have in my humi on a regular basis. Certainly not a daily smoke, but great for when you want a solid, heavy smoke.

Yummy. I can't wait to be overwhelmed by one of the Maduros. :)

I have a Maduro in waiting and frankly, I'm a little scared of that thing after my experience w/ the JDN Antano Robusto. :sign:

Had a Maddie courtesy of a BOTL here. Left me weak and wobbly for a half hour. Very strong.

At the cigar store where I bought my first and only chisel (natural) the other people there (staff and customers) said the maduro has less of a kick than the natty. Never had a maddie though.

Strange... you'd think with all the extra oils and such, it'd have more... maybe it's the fermenting process?
