Well, a buddy at work went to the Dominican Republic a few months back and brought me back a few Leon Jimenez robustos that blew my mind. They were creamy smooth, full flavored, crisp on the palate all at the same time, I really enjoyed those cigars. Ever since then, they have been on my hit list to buy more. Well, I bought two fivers from CigarBid, and fired up a couple this weekend with my partner from work. Sadly to say, they were not good at all! Both of us were getting a huge taste of earth, almost just sheer dirt flavor, with a harsh chemical aftertaste that led us to believe that these were very young cigars, that maybe were past the one month grace period after being rolled. Has anyone layed these down before and found them great? I am just stumped, as I really, really enjoyed about four of these when they were brought back. If anyone has a little insight on a good time frame to lay these down for, it would be greatly appreciated!

Well, it's not like you'd be the first person to find that something off C-Bid tasted nothing like the allegedly same cigars purchased elsewhere . . .

I can tell you that I was given some Leon Jimenes handrolled at an event I attended nearly a year ago, and when I smoked one a month ago, it was more like your C-Bidder than your initial experience. So . . . longer than that, I guess.

Thanks Boar :) I'll just have to let them sit for a few years, hopefully they will mature and the flavor profile will change. Hopefully. Curiously, what did you mean by this, "find that something off C-Bid tasted nothing like the allegedly same cigars purchased elsewhere.."

I'm new to using Cigar Bid, is there something I don't know about it? Thanks for all the help!!!

Same here. I just purchased a few smokes off of c-bid. Is this something to watch out for?
