I know I've been slack about writing reviews lately. This is because I've been doing a lot of "background smoking." Meaning, I've been more focused on my readings for class while I've been smoking to well enough evaluate the experiences. With this said I thought I'd simply list the best 5 I've had in the last 30 days. Be free to list yours

In no real order:

Onyx Reserve Mini Belicoso - certainly the best value of the group - thanks Joe.M.

Fonseca Serie F Robusto (?) - prerelease according to Steven, - thanks SD_Stack

La Aurora Perficdos #2 - only drawback is the small size; doesn't last long enough ;) - thanks wk-mang

Macanudo Diplomat maduro - a great mid-priced smoke; I will be buying a box of these - thanks Dixie :D

La Perla Black Pearl Grand Robusto - see my earlier review; just a wonderful and creamy smoke; a box of these is in my future too - thanks Dixie :D

Cheers,
Dixie

Don't give me any of the credit for my list. This list was made possible by a couple of very generous brothers. :D

I could not enjoy a fine selection like this on my own!

Thank you very much. You know who you are.

I hear you bro, outside of a couple cigars bought through the buying club, and a cigar I did buy, my memorable smokes this last month all came from generous brothers of the leaf here at CP (with an exception from another list).

By the way my list (partial) since mid-August:

Partagas Series D Number 3 EL ISOM
Cohiba Siglo VI ISOM
Bolivar PC ISOM
Partagas Short ISOM
1998 Trinidad ISOM
SLR Corona ISOM
Ashton VSG Robusto
Ashton VSG Torpedo
Hemingway Short Story
Hemingway Classic
Fuente Anejo Shark
La Vieja (tasty cigar - must find more!)

As I stated before, most of those cigars above was because of brothers here on CP - thank you one and all!

Oh and a list for the rest of this month that I intend on smoking?

Padron 1926 Maduro (not sure of the number - it;s a pretty big cigar though!)
Original Release Anejo #47(? the big churchill one)
Bolivar Imersa ISOM
Ashton VSG Sorceror
Hemingway Signature Maduro
Vegas Robaino Famouso ISOM
Montecristo Afrique
OpusX (haven't made up my mind yet :p )

Again most of these were because of brothers here at CP (with a couple exceptions).

Now, if only I had these all in 5-packs instead of singles! :p :sign:

I got to say though that for the last couple months, thanks again to the brothers here at CP my knowledge, experience and exposure to ISOM's have really blossomed! Thanks for converting me to the dark side :p  :sign:

Tis a evil and expensive trip down the dark side. :sneaky: But it's fun! :p

Haven't had the "special" opportunity to indulge yet Dawg! I will let you know as soon as I do. :)

i went ahead and broke down and got me one.
now i too am waiting for that "special occasion" :D

I've been trying a lot of different cigars lately. Here are a few the smokes from the last month that I particularly liked:

HdM Excalibur 1066 (Merlin) - Great flavor and lots of smoke
HdM Campo - Similar to the 1066 only more mild
Padron 1926 (No.6) - One of my favorites (on the hunt for the maduro)
PAM - Just as good as the 26 in my opinion
LGC Serie R Maduro (No.4) - Lots of smoke and flavor at a good price
Cohiba XV (Toro ?) - Good burn with lots of smoke and good flavor
RyJ Reserve Maduro (Toro) - One of my favorite maddies
AVO Classic (Robusto) - Mild with good flavor
Diamond Crown (Robusto) - Mild with lots of smoke
Partagas short ISOM - It's ISOM (do I need to say anything else)

I did not like the Butera La Penna. It is a maduro that smells great and starts off pretty good. It is a strong smoke but has a lot of flavor. I think it would probably be a good smoke if you let it sit for a long time. Considering that they are expensive ($10 and up) I probably won't buy another one.
