Yeah I figured he may have a slight bias at times considering his business. Fun content though from him.Reviews ebb and flow, it just part of the cycle of life around here.

Here is another resource
While I do watch and like Tim on Cigars Daily, you have to remember he is a retailer first and that may influence his presentation
Haven just started with the sport of cigar smoking, what I have done is just keep track of all my aromatic/tasting notes in my head then once I'm finished with the cigar get it all jotted down before I forget. Because I would agree, writing down notes during the smoke could be distracting for some.I've noticed that as well. Reviews take a while to write up and I personally think it takes away from the smoking experience if I am taking notes the whole time I am smoking. I'd say the best reviews is watch what people are smoking in the "today's smoke" thread.
Yeah that's really what I was doing with this review too. Obviously I had a lot in there about flavor and aromatics. But the main point was to kind get the vibe of the experience across and tell the story. Because we all know its more than just the smokes, it's the entire moment....To add to the above, most of my reviews are very much about what I man doing/feeling and not as much about flavors and such, unless it is amazing or shitty in an outstanding way
I will be checking in on that for sure.@Roverr it ebbs and flows. I tend to start a review series as we approach the summer.
This guy's reviews are especially good to read. "Floral like summers eve feminine wash" or "warn taxi cab leather seat notes"This summer's review series features none-other than Erik Espinosa and Juan Cancel and their lines of cigars. For those not in the Know, Protocol is made at Erik's La Zona factory. The line up is going to be pretty comprehensive of what comes out of that factory. I've gone to great lengths to procure almost the entire Protocol line and as much of the Espinosa line as I could. You will notice the absence of the 601 line. I had to draw the line somewhere and getting singles of 601's was more difficult than you'd think. Plus, I've not been impressed with any 601 line cigar that I've had...

Can you believe its been a whole year since I last did a monster review thread on Espinosa and Protocol? Well guess what- I'm doing another. Why?, you may ask? New Shit, thats why. Well, I have a few from last time too but that is more for comparisons purposes (the Warheads), and the Knuckle Sandwiches because I have a 3 pack and it just begs to be included- again. This summers line up includes some event only cigars, some store exclusives, Protocol's latest edition to its Lawmen series, a new release or two, and old Murcielago from the King of Yellow Cello himself and a handful of...

From a generous BOTL, a new review series has come: the Illusione and Caldwell Review Series. Below is a picture of what is currently set aside for the series. Thank you to @xyz123 for making this happen:

I&C-01 Mystery Maduro (6x52?)
First in the review series, gifted by @xyz123 who promised to tell me what this is once it was smoked. 1/3: Very maduro. Chocolate, espresso and nuts. Very flaky ash but tasty. Some spiciness towards the end of this third. 2/3: Mexican hot chocolate. 3/3: Mesquite and cacao. There is some...www.cigarpass.com![]()
I&C-02 Illusione Ultra OP No. 4
It is a seasonably warm January day, overcast and I felt in need of something strong. So I picked this cigar up. 1/3: Strong and spicy off the bat. Was this a mistake at 10am? As the 1st third progressed I began to get distinct tea notes. 2/3: Well done hamburger with copious amounts of tea...www.cigarpass.com![]()
I&C-03 Illusione Le Elegance
A lovely cigar. 5 5/8 by 40 rg. 1/3: Spice. Tea. Lemon zest. 2/3: A lot of delicate flavors are present: brown sugar, tea, lemon & vanilla. 3/3: Water with lemon. The final third kind of died on me. I tried several attempts to relit it but the cigar was done. I was prepared to nub this...www.cigarpass.com...![]()
I&C-04 Caldwell Midnight Express Robusto
I don't know anything about Caldwell so I have got no idea what this is all about and I choose not to look it up to avoid any influence about what I might read on line. 1/3: Tea and charred steak. Heavily charred. 2/3: More of the same, though the char factor calmed down some. 3/3: Talk about...www.cigarpass.com

After my foray into the world of Cuban Cigars, I thought that I should provide a space to share what I love about cigars form other countries. I'll refer to them as New World cigars. I have assembled some of my favorite cigars from the Dominican and Nicaragua which I have been smoking recently and decided to dedicate a review series to them. The initial picture shows what I plan to start off with, however I will likely add cigars to this review series as I come across them. This was just to get started. I hope you enjoy this....
