Ok, so I had to try something from my sampler pack right away. This nice looking maduro is what I chose.

First of all, this was my first torpedo and my first maduro at the same time. Way to earn fast experience huh ;) I like how this cigar looks. The colorful ring on the maduro wrapper looks great. I light it up with no trouble, take a couple puffs and there we go! I would say the draw was very good. I think I cut a bit too much off the cap, but it didn't seem to matter, the smoke just kept pouring onto my tongue. From the first draw I could tell it was a strong cigar. Very spicy. The taste was about the same from beginning to end. As for the burn, even all the way. I'm starting to love the robust sizes. The RyJ I had after that felt like a toothpick in my hand :0 (but it was nice nonetheless!)

All in all, this cigar left me with a great impression and a taste in my mouth that lasted all evening.

good first review, lemon. a great cigar for as cheap as they are. probably a little too mild for most guys on here, but for a beginner or someone that likes mild to medium its pretty good. and your right about the smoke. as all drew estates tend to do, they put out alot of smoke and usually have great draws.

The Early Years are a full-bodied cigar.

Marc are you thinking about the La Viejas that have a natural wrapper? Those are mild cigars.

I had a LvH Early Years Silencio Friday night around midnight. Wonderful spicy little number. An all together differnt animal than their Fumas (blue box). The spice was not overwhelming as some spicy cigars can be, and the small size of the Silencio was great to avoid getting too much nicotene, so I got the spicy flavor without needing to worry about getting sick. I had to make 2 major touch ups on this 4" cigar which was a real shame. I am hoping this isn't the norm for this line because otherwise it was quite enjoyable.

I am probably going to order a box of the Silencios very soon, I recall seeing them on sale for around $65/40, just need to find out where that was.

Good Review!

Nice review! This is a very good full-bodied cigar that is hard to beat for the money.

Take care,
