6.5" x 54
Wrapper: Ecuador
Filler: DR, Nic
Binder: Honduras
Approx $4-5
I had smoked a Churchill a few weeks ago but didn't have the time to fully appreciate it. This was another story.
Removed about 1/4" and found a loose and mild prelight draw. After lighting, the first half inch was similarly mild, but then it got really good. While remaining mild in body, a bit of the oft described "twang" showed up as a sort of sweet and spicy flavor with each new puff. I have read a few reviews of these that note the same character, so I am glad I wasn't way off the ball.
This held the ash strongly, allowing up to two inches to remain before ashing. The smoke remained similar throughout most of the length, but began to get a little hot with about 2" remaining, where I decided to part with the stick.
Overall, this was a nice choice for a night where I was in the mood for a mild smoke with lots of character.
