Went over to La Luna yesterday and Gael handed Gator and I a Little Havana Blend 2xl, double sun grown I believe. (Hope I got that right.) Definitely more oomph than the claro I had the corona I had the day before. Again, with that distince La Luna taste. (Remember I'm useless describing tastes, maybe Gator or Moki could help out on this) Got a nice solid ash. Extremely even burn. Very firm, but with an amazing draw. I ended up taking a few home. A claro, maduro, and a 2xl. Quickly becoming one of my favorite smokes.

I agree...The Little Havana Blends from La Luna are becoming some of my favorite smokes.

The 2xl Gael gave us is the strongest of the LHB lines. Although it is a full bodied cigar it's very smooth with a great taste. As mentioned in the other thread it's a little difficult to describe the flavor of these. They actually taste a little like a few different favorites of mine (Padron, Rocky Patel, and a Cuban like characteristic). I guess my description of the flavor isn't any better than Ric's so you'll just have to use your imagination until you try one for yourself :p

I also took home one of each of the blends (claro, maduro, xl2) a robusto in the maduro and belicoso of the other two. Of the La Lunas I've had the 2xl has been the best but I'll be sure to post my thoughts on the others after I smoke them ;)

Nice to live close and have a chance to smoke these great cigars. What would be nicer is to offer to pick up a BOTL a couple boxes while you're there. ;)

Gator and Ric,
We must have just missed each other. I came from Broward; was there around 10:00 am. Unfortunately, La Luna opens at around 11:oo and I had little spare time. I ended up over at El Credito; picked up some beli's. Next stop, Tabacalera Tropical and picked up a bundle of Cacique. What do you guys think of these. I love em. Nice oily wrapper; reminds me of a sun grown! The buzz is the same.

Well, I will try and get back down to La Luna in a few weeks or so. Look forward to meeting Gael.
