At the Cigar rights of America event in Villa Park, Illinois i spoke with Ernesto Carillo and he gifted me one of the small torpedos. I've had it in my go to humidor until last night. This baby is well filled with no soft spots and dressed with a choclate colored wrapper which i have to say is beautiful. After the initial light up, there was a minor burn problem, but it corrected itself real fast. The ash was white and it hung on for about two inches. The taste was incredible, sweet and choclate with a nutty smell, i'm not a super taster and don't claim to be one but this cigar has to be tasted.
After being blown away by this cigar, i went to the web and searched for it to see who sells it. What a bummer, a quarter of a million cigars were made of this rendition and a fiver was almost $60 at CI. Too bad, at a more reasonable price i would have bit, i'm starting to hate artesans. :(

Glad to hear it was a good smoke sack, I've been wondering about these myself. Too bad it's pricey! What else is new, though? Another great boutique cigar that is either HTF or expensive!

I'll kick myself later, but after a while, when no one has bought them out they'll put them on sale. :whistling:

I've been so let down by the Dominican La Gloria Cubanas that I'd sworn them off. Every other stick would have some sort of construction issue. I never heard many bad things about the Miami cigars though. Glad to hear this new blend is good.

Ambled by the local yesterday and picked up an assorted five pack. I think I'll smoke the Elegante tonight.

I tried the Elegante last night. I was hoping for something else but what I got was tried and true LGC, mild, mild, mild. Though at the beginning there was nice strong kick but I chaulk that up to the newness of the cigar. Def. not worth the price tag.

One dimensional, unremarkable, expensive cigar. Save your $$ and wait until they go on clearance. I wish I had.
