Well folks, I went off the deep end today. I bought a FLD Factory Press and smoked it. I also have 2 for the Humidor. Then I decided after seeing the La Gloria Cubana Serie R Limitada Maduro cigar, I figured I would try this bad boy.
The cut went smooth. The cigar had some nice tooth action going on as well. Very well constructed and no real serious veins in the wrapper. Woot..I picked a winner I believe. I got it all warm and lit this stick up. Its a pretty good sized stick.
As i smoked it, I picked up on several distince flavors and transitions throughout the cigar. It had a nice roasty, nutty taste which went from start to finish. There was no doubt this was a La Gloria Cubana Serie R. It also reminded me of some coffee as well. To be specific, it reminded me of some Costa Rican coffee I picked up while down there. I just wished I had some coffee while I smoked this one and preferably a mocha to be exact. I do not know anything about this cigar whatsoever other than it was a monster in size and to lazy to search the web with my bad connection.
At the end tho, the smoke did become a little hot if I took big puffs. So I ended up with smaller puffs. The draw was fantastic from start to finish. Plenty of smoke off each puff. It did really kick it up a notch near the end. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give this bad boy a 9.5. I liked it more than most Padron Anni's and 1926's i've smoked. Yes, you heard me right. I highly recommend this bad boy and even if you didnt smoke it, get it cuz its a rare stick. From what I was told, it sounds like 21,000 Maduro and 21,000 Natural or whatever the wrapper is was made.
