La Flor Dominicana Reserva Expecial El Jocko Natural

Though this brand is NA in the Netherlands, LFD's are real favorites of mine.

This natural looks (and is!) milder then the darker version, but still is quite full-flavoured and full-bodied nonetheless.

Visuals, construction, draw and burning are all impeccable!
Shure, there's less power then I'm used from the Ligero's and Double Ligero's, but the taste still has a very rich character, with fairly enough complexity as well.

From the beginning when I litt it, till the sad moment I had to ''departure'' (after a very long finale), this cigar has captured me with its a smooth and creamy mouthfeel, combined with fresh-spicy and tangy-pepery notes, rounded with a refined touch of sweetness in a long aftertaste.

The subtle scent has refined notes of cedar, sweet-spicy nuances and a nutty undertone.
This cigar clearly proved to me that LFD has more to offer than only powerhouses (or as some prefer to say; ''Nicotine-bombs'')

In short, I'm very impressed again by this product of Litto! :)

I have smoked a lot of the No.1 Maduros and they provide me with great memories of my time I lived in Texas. A great smoke in my opinion and one that really turned me on to LFD a few years ago. I even got to meet Litto at an event in Las Colinas.

I've only had the darker ones, but they're pretty amazing. I've found LFD's natural line to be a bit more "variable" than the maduro/oscuro lines.

I know next to nothing about cigar blending, but my working theory is that the relative strength of the binder and filler are just too much for the more modest natural wrapper. Of course, that theory, assumes a lot of things I don't know (if the binder and filler tobaccos are the same as the dark wrapper variety, etc).

What do you folks think?

I haven't had the natural but I've tried the maduro and loved it.

I was at my B&M one day and as I was checking out I decided I had some time to kill so I asked Joe (the guy to go to at my local for cigar advice) to pick out a pretty short smoke for me. He grabbed me a maduro El Jocko, I paid, sat down and lit up.

It was a great small cigar, I really need to pick up a few more sometime soon.

My sentiments exactly. These are one of my top ten favorites in maduro. I wish I had more room in my humidor so I could pick up a box or two.
