Big La Flor Fan, but first time trying this rarity out:

Wrapper: Nicaraguan
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican
Made In: Dominican Republic

Appearance - Good lookin stick, one vein on the back side, other than that a fairly smooth lookin wrapper. Triple cap. Well packed, no soft spots. A little oil to the cigar; slight sheen.

Pre Draw: As with the Coronado, this cigar wreaks of honey/molasses on the wrapper...what an aroma. You don't have to take deep breaths to smell it, it just comes at you when you take it out of the cellophane. The foot has the honey smell...along with a graham cracker note as well. Really sweet and rich. The pre-light draw is a combination of sweet tobacco and molasses.

First Third: Starts off with some spice on the first 2 or 3 puffs and settles down to a sweet wood flavor accompanied by a creaminess. The burn line is razor sharp as it usually is with La Flor, and the ash stays on for about an inch and a half. I barely clipped the wrapper, and my draw is quite easy...made even too loose for my tastes. Finish is medium, it doesn't linger around too long. Starts off medium in strength/body.

Second Third: This is where the sweetness from the wrapper and foot come in; graham cracker and honey notes are profound and come to the forefront of the flavor profile. Wood is in the back ground. The cigar is much smoother now, not so much tingle in the throat. Towards the last third, I got a zing of Black Cherry....a flavor that I have only ever had with the La Flor Perfecto Habano. What a delight...

Third Third: The cigar settles down and the flavors all unite in a bouquet of taste and aroma. Taking the smoke through the nasal cavity is smooth...and a slight spice is present unlike the DL series. Flavor hasn't changed much, just more refined I think. The ash is light gray, not quite white, and it's still hangin on for about an inch and a half. Honey, Graham cracker, spice, sweet wood, and molasses. That defines this cigar.

I highly suggest this cigar if you are looking for a sweet, smooth cigar. Some may say the cigar is "earthy" but I think it's more on the sweeter side. I have received an email today about these from the La Flor rep.; "The La Flor Limitado IV has less than 30 Boxes remaining and will be gone quick." So if you would like to try some of these, I guess they urge you to try them now before it's too late.
