Litto Gomez is set to introduce a new line of cigars from La Flor Dominicana. His newest creation is called the La Flor Dominicana Air Bender. The cigars are due to be released in another month but we were lucky enough to get our hands on a couple pre-release boxes.
The filler/binder blend is made from Dominican tobaccos grown on Litto's farm. The wrapper leaf is is popular Habano that he uses on his Salomone and Perfecto Habano cigars. These are a lot different than the Salomone's and Perfeco Habano's, though. The blend is actually tamed down a bit making the cigars more mild-to-medium bodied to allow the subtle flavors of the Habano wrapper to shine through. I've had the chance to smoke a couple sizes now and have been really impressed with the great balance of strength and flavor. Four sizes are available:
Guerrero (6 1/4 x 54)
$7.75/cigar
$139.50/box of 20
Maestro (5 1/2 x 52)
$7.25/cigar
$130.50/box of 20
Matatan (5 x 50)
$7.00/cigar
$126.00/box of 20
Valiente (6 1/4 x 60)
$8.25/cigar
$148.50/box of 20
We also have some Litto Gomez Diez Vintage 2009 OSCURO cigars. These are not wrapped in Litto's Oscuro Natural wrappers, they're simply Dominican wrapper leafs taken from a higher priming on the plant. We have two sizes in stock right now:
Oscuro Cubano (5 x 50)
$10.25/cigar
$221.50/box of 24
Oscuro Oriental (4 7/8 x 40)
$8.15/cigar
$176.00/box of 24
Happy New Year to all the folks here at Cigar Pass. Thank you for all your support in 2009!
Sincerely,
Eric
