I like when a cigar maker wraps the foot with the wrapper. It makes the first draw kick you in the mouth. I think it also primes the flavors for the rest of the cigar. This cigar started with a bang and kept getting better. After the kick it settled into the rich Maduro flavor that was perfect. It was an Espresso/dark chocolate flavor with a smoke that was chewy delicious. The ash was solid almost 1/2 wat through it. It was a maduro with a little extra. A very enjoyable cigar indeed. If I had to score it, I'd give it a solid 93. I don't know if it was due to being sick for a week and no cigars or just that it was great. If it was due to being sick and going w/o. At least the next time I'm sick I'll have something to look forward to.

If you get a chance, try one of these. They're reasonably priced too.

I picked one up in a pass recently, and a new B&M near me carries them but I know nothing about them. Thanks for the review.. now I'm looking forward to this one!

Exactly the same thing just happend to me. It was put in my cigar pass, now I'm gunna have to smoke this one soon! :)

I've smoke a few of these in the past. Got a couple of them sitting in my cooler now for the past 3 months. I really don't recall how they were now, but I might have to dig around and find one and give it a shot tonight. I'm assuming I liked them because I got like 6 of them at once. :)

I'm going to try one of these tonight and see what I think... all of the Kristoff I've had previously (corojo wrappers) have had very loose draws, making them less than enjoyable... hoping these little bit thinner maduros will smoke better, though. :)

ETA: Well, that was a pretty good smoke. Lots of cedar/woody tastes, from what I remember. Not as sweet as many of the other maduros I had. Draw was good on it, too, finally.

My B&M has these flying off the shelves, they can't seem to keep them in stock long due to how popular they are becoming. My girlfriend's father picked up the Maduro version to try, but unfortunately it was plugged. However, even with the extremely hard draw, he smoked it halfway through because of how delicious the flavors were.
