You can't win without Shaq. You can't win without Shaq. He will be hearing this in his sleep all year. Shaq was the championship glue to those Laker teams not Kobe. Shaq gave them a toughness that they seriously lack now.

Best Regards
Don

Have you seen Shaq lately................what planet did you just get back from? Shaq hung up his cape a while ago! He was supposed to be the glue that held the Suns together enough to get to the finals and look at how well that turned out.

Besides, I think Kobe and the Lakers have their hands too full at the moment to be worrying about Shaq.

Shaq was a fierce giant. Fierce enough to win some titles. Gravity has now taken that ferocity. Shaq, I'm afraid, will fade off into a forgettable sunset. He was no Magic, Bird or Jordan. Perhaps if he had learned to shoot a basketball...

I agree Shaq is done now. But the words will continue to haunt Kobe he keeps hearing from the critics, yes your a great player but cannot win a title without Shaq and that has proved correct so far. At least Shaq left and got another title without Kobe.

Exactly! Shaq left the lakers awhile ago now and has been a pro for what 13-14yrs???COME ON! Which one of you can say that he didn't change the game up until two years ago?! If you say he didn't then you don't know basketball! I got an even better question, how many of you know people that are over 6' 6(never mind 7' because we know the answer) and over 30 that are still quick??

To tsmckenny, why should he have learned to shoot the ball when he was the most dominate big man in the game for over 10yrs? He was scoring 30-40 points with hooks and dunks. AND the only way, the ONLY way the could stop him was to hack a shaq! And he still scored 20+. One of THE most dominate centers to ever play the game. Give him his respect

Oh Kobe listen you can hear it if you listen hard. You cannot win without SHAQ!!!!!!!. Shaq was the man not you and last night proved it. Now at least I think I will stop hearing the Kobe being as good as Jordan garbarge will stop.

Best Regards

Shaq and Kobe were some good times.

I'll bet that he'll be blaming coach for this championship and renew the trading whines that we heard not too long ago.

Right. He was a giant. Yep, he could dunk. That's what giants do. Why should he have learned to shoot? Well, the extra practice would have been more beneficial than making Disney films and rap albums. Agreed?

Respect Shaq? If he could ever wipe that smug look off his face, I'd consider it. Until then: Jordan, Magic, Bird...

I will congratulate the Victors at the appropriate time until then, I will reserve comments about success and championships.
Kobe does not make the team Shaq did not make the team, the team made the team. For you Shaq apologists please remember that the minute Shaq is no longer part of your team you are the scum of the earth to him.

I appreciate what he, Kobe, and the rest of the Lakers did at the beggining of the decade but this is now and that was then.

Kobe will be Kobe take it or leave it, there is not one team out there that does not need Kobe Bryant he is by far and away anything better that what you have now and we all know it. Simply put you cannot sign a Kobe Bryant without loosing a key figure of your present team so make do with what you have.

The Lakers and fans of the Lakers are prepared to make do without Kobe when and if the day should come. This is an organization with heart pride and championships in the greatest city on God's green earth.

Every 10 or so years the next Jerry West, Magic Johnson, or Michael Jordan comes around. Right now it happens to be Kobe. The Lakers will continue a REAL commitment to winning and excellence that seems to exist so little in today's sports, that is why everybody HATES the Lakers.

There is still one game that the clovers have to win, until then BRING IT ON!

Pack your bags and Champange boys you will have to wait at lease two more days....

Kobe the voices are screaming now YOU CAN'T WIN without Shaq!!!

That was the worst display of heart I have seen from a team in a finals game ever shame on you Lakers.

Best Regards
Don

Let's not forget Pierce. His Number, somday, will be raised to the rafters, now that he's won a championship.
