Kinda went crazy with the beer

This guy told me about a liquor store in my area that had a great selection of craft and Belgian beers, so I went there today. I quickly realized the problem I have when I see selections of these brews; I don't know what's good and what's bunk. This time I decided to get a little help, so I pulled up the Beer Advocate Top 100 on my Droid and walked the aisles until I found a few things. Here's what I left with:

Founders Breakfast Stout
Founders Imperial Stout
Founders Backwoods Bastard
Chimay Grand Reserve
Trappistes Rochefort 10
Trappistes Rochefort 8
Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout
New Belgium Mighty Arrow
Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA
St. Bernardus Abt 12
Ten Fidy Imperial Stout
New Belgium 2 Below

I'm looking forward to trying all of them out.
 
God I wish I had a beer store that I could find a selection like that close by. I have a few, but their all the way in St. Louis. Nice score!

Nice haul man! I've had a few of these and some I buy on a semi-constant basis.

Founders Breakfast Stout - lots of hype but I wasn't too impressed....still worth a try
Founders Imperial Stout - have yet to try this one but it's on my list and I'm guessing it's good
Founders Backwoods Bastard - awesome stuff!
Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout - really good
Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA - one of my favorite DIPAs
Ten Fidy Imperial Stout - Awesome!
New Belgium 2 Below - Decent winter ale
 
I've been wanting to dive into (pun intended) the many different beers out there, but the dang stuff is so 'spensive! There's a Micky Finn's in a couple towns over that has a huge selection, and I was grabbing one or two bottles with each visit, but haven't done so for a while now! Next time I'm there, I'll have to do like Khari and have a list. Course, I'll have to take one with me since all I have is some cheapo crappy cell phone. :laugh: Maybe they'll let me take some pics of the "beer wall"....
 
Also Khari, since it looks like this place has a good selection of Founders, be on the lookout for Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout in another month or so. They may not put it out on the shelf so you have to ask for it specifically, and it goes fast! It's pricey but damn good.... one of my faves!

edit to add: Although iirc, I believe they were increasing production on it starting this year to make it more widely available.
 
Nice score! Reminds me of the first time I found our huge local beer store here, I walked in and wanted Everything. The problem is - they basically actually do have everything...

Very nice haul. For future trips, you really can't go wrong with anything Founders if you're looking to try some different styles. The Roche 10 and St Bernardus are two of my favorite beers, but you have a bunch of gems on that list.

Gots a question. I took pics of all the beers at a local with the permission of the owner of course, told him I planned to post the pics on a forum. The pics all have the prices listed and was wondering if it's cool to post with them listed?
 
I wish you would post pics. I have had the same questions!! I don't know if I am getting a deal or getting robbed.

Well, the prices are on the shelves for anyone to see, so I don't think there's any problem posting them here. I'll get a link up in a bit to the pics.
