Kentucky Ale

the bourbon ale is really good btw!

I am glad that you liked it. Personally, I was not that impressed by the bourbon ale but my opinion has been far out voted by my beer drinking friends who have uniformly endorsed it. Perhaps the fact that I am a bourbon drinker weighed on my decision too heavily. Speaking of bourbon, I had some of your local product today...Elmer T. Lee Single Barrel is amazingly good for the price.

Enjoy!

I've never heard of this stuff before, but beeradvocate agrees with you Punk...

I've never had any elmer! But another local is Rock Hills Farm, I like very much. have u had it?

I picked up a 4-pack a while ago for $10.99. It failed to impress me at all. Taste is subjective, but to me it was almost like Miller bottled it.

Interesting observation. When it first came out it was on the forefront of the Bourbon Barrell aged beers (BBC actually is credited to be the first) It was actually pretty good. The distiller, Alltech is attempting to create a mass marketed juggernaut with it lately and it's quality has suffered. They also acquire their barrels for aging from many different sources across the state, I think this can lead to some inconsistencies in their product.
