I am 18 and pretty new to all this..one of the brothers in the Fraternity house i live in is really big into cigars and got me into it...im a very poor college student and dont realy keep a large amount of cigars. i got a small humidor just to hold 25-40 cigars and was wondering how to keep the taste/smell from bleeding from one cigar to another. I dont have a cooler, or for that matter dont even buy boxes of cigars, i go to the cigar shop that is down the street and mostly just buy assorted singles because i like all kinds of cigars and really cant spend tons of money on boxes of different cigars. any advice would be great...thanks!

Welcome aboard first of all. The only thing I can say about the taste and smell bleeding into each other is that this shouldn't be a major problem unles you have flavored cigars. Under no circumstances should you keep flavored cigars with unflavored cigars. Other than that, keeping your singles together shouldn't be that much of a problem. Otherwise, everyone would need multiple humidors to sort their cigars by brand.

Welcome to CP! You'll love it here.

And the microphone smells like a beer"

:D

The "marrying" of flavors from one cigar to another is not going to be an issue for you as long as you keep flavored/scented cigars away from "real" cigars. While there is some reality to marrying, you are not going to notice it for many years and by then you wouldn't really notice it anyway, as the cigar itself will have changed by that time. So, for the most part, don't worry about it.

wow....i go to class at 2:30 and by the time i get back i have like 10 replies! which i thank you guys for and look foreward to asking more questions! thanks again!

You mean I shouldn't be storing my Acid's with my Bolivar's?

Piano, another thing you can do is leave the cello on the cigars. That will decrease any marrying that may take place. Just a suggestion...

You should be storing your acid with your stamp collection. That way it'll be a surprise the next time you go to post an envelope. ???

Yea he was born in 86 and you graduated from college is 86.....damn you're an old bastard CC :0

Go College! I  it much.
As long as you keep the flavoured ones separate from the others, you're good to go. Plus, in my humble experience, "marriage" takes time.
And most of mine do not stay around in the humi that long.

CC beat me to the punch. What fraternity do you belong to before I offer my expertise? :0

That whole story about a 90's something Taurus SHO is nothing but his fantasy ;)

The only thing worse than a frat boy, is a sorority chick who doesn't drink. It's a real pain the ass to drop the date rape drug in a drink if she ain't drinking.
