I bought a new cao meer pipe yesterday and i am loving it i smoked a bowl today and it smoked beautifully. I think i may be a convert to the meershaum pipes. :thumbs:

I also love meerschaum pipes, they are cool smoking and can be smoked over & over without any rest periods. However, there is something very comforting and classic about briar pipes, let alone the fact that they can be great smokers as well. It would be ashamed if you did not hold on to a few.

I LOVE meerschaum pipes for all the reasons mentioned above, as well as the ability to watch them color and take on a life of their own... of sorts at least. Congratulations on your meerschaum purchase, it's one of the best purchases a pipe smoker can make. I do think that every pipe smoker who has more than one or two pipes should at least have one meerschaum in their collection.

I do agree, there is a comforting feeling to briar, and I continue to smoke my briars (and acquire more) even though I love the way meerschaum smokes. Both are a work of art, and a beauty to smoke from.
