A client of my fiance found out I was a new found BOTL and he gifted me with quite a haul here. Some of these have been aged as long as 5 plus years. I'm very excited, only problem is my 6 slot travel humidor isn't going to hold all these lol. I'm a noob and never really intended to have this many sticks at once. I plan on eventually getting a bigger humidor just was not prepared to yet. What is my best solution here for shorter term storage so I don't damage his hard work of aging these bad boys?1000004433.jpg

*Update*

This is what I came up with on the fly. Had all of this stuff on hand thankfully. I think it will do until I can get a decent humidor in a few weeks.

Awesome.

Dont get hung up on "Humidors" unless you are prepared to spend money on one.
Coolers and Tupperware, or my favorite that I linked above are a much better solution when it comes to maintaining them.
At a fraction of the cost.

Just a bit of advice

Yeah this tupperware method will do the trick for now. I honestly never intended to have this many cigars at once this soon into diving into the hobby, but here we are lol. I think eventually one day I will want a humidor for aesthetic reasons more than anything else, and because eventually I'm sure I'll end up buying a whole box of sticks once I find like a "go to smoke". The tupperdor is currently holding humidity around 65% so I'm pleased.

Order some 65% Boveda packs at Amazon right away. Those are precious cigars, and you want to get the packs in the container right away.

The cigars are not that delicate, they’ll survive being in that thing without a Boveda for a few days, but you want to get humidification soon. And that Gladware tub is OK, but I suspect it leaks a bit. The Cbros box @MX linked above is not much more than a Sistema snap ware container off Amazon, I’d suggest you get that and this 4-pack of Boveda 65% packs right away. Transfer the cigars to that box with the Boveda, leave the other Boveda in their bag in that Gladware for later use.

Smoke one now, since he’s taken good care of them. But after the move if you let them settle down in that box with the Boveda for a couple weeks they’ll be as happy as they were in your client’s humidor.

Plus, you’ll have a good setup which will let you decide how you want to go with more storage later.

Oh, didn’t see them. Then just that box MX suggested. You’re good to go. It’s early I need more coffee. No hurry on the box, then, they’re good now. The box will likely hold moisture better than Gladware, though.

Yeah I think I'll switch them to a more air tight tupperware that allows them to lay flat as well.

EZY containers at Target have a rubber gasket in the lid and seal up great, and cannot be beat for the price. It looks like they only have larger sizes though.

The Walmart ones from Sterilite work well also but have a foam gasket that doesn't seem to be as good as the rubber one on the EZY, in my inexpert opinion, though they do have smaller sizes available.

Thank you. Definitely want something with a rubber gasket.
