has anyone heard or dealt with them before? they seems to have pretty low prices comepared to some other sites.

You need to check out those other sites better, but they are OK folks.

I bought from them, almost exclusively, for well over 25 years. Before I had internet. I still buy one or two old favorites from them due to exclusivity. They were a bit better when Rothman was in charge.

Their return policy is just OK, and you have to watch how you word your requests for returns.
I.e., I got a box of very familiar smokes that tasted very musty from over humidification, Initially they refused a refund when I simply said they tasted bad.
I replied back that the cigars were ruined due to poor storage conditions and they then honored a refund. My opinion of their customer service reps is that they are clueless and most of the times, rude.

Their sister company, Santa Clara charges restocking fees, etc. I refuse to deal with them.

There are much better choices these days. Sometimes saving 5 bucks is not worth it when it comes to how they store their cigars, quality of customer service, etc.
I much prefer a vendor who knows me, knows what I like to smoke, who recognizes my voice when I call, etc.
I even send them Christmas presents, which I feel all BOTLs should do with their favorite, personable vendor who looks out for their best interest.

I never ordered from them but they have a huge difference in price for avo xo. Almost $40 cheaper per box than other sites

Yea, Some retailers have reduced their box prices for Avo due to repackaging. Like I said, if you order and am not happy, make sure an effort to return is not based on flavor.

There are vendors listed in the Cigar Retailers Forum that support CP members and bring us deals and hard to find sticks that you won't find at the discounters.  I've found it very worthwhile to build long term relationships with guys that you can call an talk to on the phone, who remember who you are.  If all you are looking for is a cheap price on a common box of sticks, I suppose Google will facilitate that for you and JR isn't a bad answer.  But, when it's finding a box of something new and really in demand, or the hard to find sticks from a vendor, those relationships go quite far.  I choose to support the guys that support us.

One man's opinion.....B.B.S.

Do you feel its a good deal for a 25ct box of avo for around 105. Compared to other sites that's like $80 less. You said repackaging is there a reason they are doing this.

It ain't the same since Rothman retired/sold out. They'll spam you to death.

I ditto what has been said above. Lew used to get 95% of my business. Not anymore. It simply is not the same company it used to be. They are now lucky to get a small order a year from me. Saving a buck is not the only thing that grabs my attention.

They're clearing out the old packaging. I've seen it done many times. I think the old boxes were 25 and the new are 20 cigars.
If they're that much cheaper, they may be a good deal. You won't know unless you take the plunge.
