There's no way meeting the man the myth can be as rewarding as dealing with him online is there?

Yep.

Got to meet this fine gentleman today at his shop. I was passing through there on my way back from Georgia and it was a mandatory stop. Had some great conversation, smoked a great cigar, bought some Pepins, and Al was kind enough to gift me something I can't even discuss :)

Thanks a ton for the hospitality Al, it was a pleasure. You are as true a gentleman in person as you are here at CP. Tell the fellas in the shop I say hello again.

I've bought from him a few times and spoke with him on the phone recently.

I wouldn't trade him for anyone else.

Wyatt, you are absolutely on point with your post.

Al, thanks for being a great BOTL and tobacconist!

Rob

I've been meaning to try some pepins (you all sure as hell talk about them enough!)

I'll have to call al when I get paid next week. :D

It's nice to know there are such good people here on the forum!

I've met the man once on a quick stop over, too, and completely agree with Wyatt. Great guy.

I'll be in Atlanta on Sep 15th with three allowances saved up... can't wait to get some good smokes. :D :D I think I'll have the three kids with me while my wife hangs out with her girlfriends, though.

I spoke with Al on the phone earlier this week and bought some cigars from him and I agree with you 100% Brickhouse, Al is a fine gentleman.

I got mad at him once and I was wrong. :( Lucky for me, Al is a VERY forgiving guy.

I gotta quote this before you go back and edit it!

Only bustin' your balls a little there CC; it's not too often you see one of the FOGs that's been around as long as you be wrong!

Well, I'm not perfect, that's for sure. When I'm wrong, I do my best to admit it. :D

Al is one of the best. Great smokes, fantastic service, and fair prices. I figure I'll just show up some day out of the blue and say "hey". That way, he won't have time to put the "Closed" sign out.....

Thanks for everything, Al......B.B.S.

I've dealt with him many times, maybe one of these days I'll finally get to meet him. Sadly, when the RTDA was in Houston, I was a mile south and couldn't get away from work to head over. :(

Al is amazing. He's more then friendly every time I go in there. I can't buy something and leave without talking to the man 20 minutes!

If you're ever in ATL, do make sure you swing by. You won't be dissapointed.

Not sure I'd survive that one! Last time I called to do a little business, an hour went by before I knew it - on the phone. You're a pleasure, Al!
