Is Humidor Ready...

OK.... I recevied my new 150ct humidor Thursday evening and got it all setup and placed a small bowl of distilled water in the bottom of it and closed it up. I opened it twice since just to movee the bowl of water to the other side (thinking that the wood under the bowl would not absorb the moiture with the bowl on top of it.) The humidity went up to a max of about 79% after about 3-4 days and started to drop yesterday. It is now sitting at about 73% and appears to be locked there, or atleast it has been there all day.

Does it appear that it is time to remove the bowl and place in the beads and some smokes? Should I possibly give it a few more days? Thanks.

Looks good! Go ahead and drop your beads in there - let it equilibrate for a day or two and add your sticks! :thumbs:

Thanks... pull the bowl of water out or leave it in?

Take the water out. You are all set. Put the cigars & beads in there along with a quality hygrometer. The beads should even it out in a couple days and you are well on your way.
