Hello-
Thought I'd introduce myself with a few cigar reviews from this weekend. I've been smoking cigars for 5 or 6 years, but only recently started paying attention to what I smoked. I just finished a 48 quart igloodor this weekend, and started filling it with Villazons [anyone got some they want to get ride of, Mikes is out], Montagues, and JR Alts, along with a few different singles. Hopefully I can get a few more orders in before my wife takes the credit card away!
I live in Seattle, work as a computer/network tech. Other hobbies: brewing beer and motorcycles. Now, on to the reviews:
---------------------------
Genuine Pre-Embargo Counterfeit Cubans
1958 Gourmet Figurado
4.75 X 50
Paid $5.99 *

Initial impressions:
I really like the look of this type of roll. I don't really know why, I just do. Nice dark wrapper, slightly oily. Had a very rich scent. Punched it, and it had a very nice, pre-light draw. Definately had a "bite" that I would identify as cuban-like.
Smoke:
Lighting this cigar is easy... single match easy. Nice when you're at the bar trying to loose at pool. Lots of thick smoke. Very nice rich flavor with a little "bite" in the back of my throat. This cigar just kept gettting better, richer and never bitter. At $2/each from JR's, I might put some of these in the igloodor.
---------------------------
El Rey Del Mundo
Robusto Larga Double Maduro - Tissue wrapped
6 X 54
Paid $11.99 *

Picture 2
Initial Impressions:
The tissue wrapper is a nice touch. People at the bar thought it was pretty cool anyways. Nice rich sent, kinda smokey. Pre-light draw was a bit tough, but not bad.
Smoke:
Started realitively strong, and stayed that way. Not alot of depth or change in the flavor. Just strong, tobacco flavor. About 2/3rds into the cigar, it got very hot, and stayed that way. Even after leaving it alone for 5 mins or so, it still wanted to burn very hot. For the price, it's a big looser. Don't get me wrong, it was a great cigar, but not at all worth the price.
