Ok I rescued this cigar from a pass. The head had a big crack in it that extended to the barrel. Probably should have been thrown out but I figured I had the space, I'd try to resucitate it.
Well I punched it and luckily the binder was sealing the barrel off enough to get a draw.
Lit and drew really well. Started to unravel a bit. Pretty funny. It started to look like a BTL cos the binder is much darker than the wrapper which was a very light Connecticut Shade I presume.
Anyways at first the ash was cone shaped, which looks really cool on a pyramid.
Then it turned into some sever tunneling. Prolly cos it was 19 degrees out while I was smoking. Not exactly favorable conditions.
Tasted pretty good. Draw produced lots of smoke, plenty of flavor, cedary (it was wrapped in cedar) and pretty light. Almost no nicotine kick to speak of.
Well that's about it. I think it had dried out in the pass which caused the cracking and unraveling. Decent cigar for when you dont' really car but just want to suck on something. Doesn't stand up to manhandling very well though, I msoked it to about 2/5 of the way through and the head was pretty unraveled as well.
Overall just about what I expected of it. Wonder how it woudl have tasted if properly cared for during its lifetime
