Well, about 6 years ago I was diagnosed with the end goal of landing in a wheel chair for life. Naturally I've been kicking and screaming all the way since then. I just found out the other day that one of the disks in my back has finally disappeared and now I have to wait and see the domino effect which isn't going to be much fun. But to top it all off, the spinal disease has taken hold in the neck and not just the lower back. So I get to play double jeopardy so if you don't see me all that much for awhile, you now know why. I've managed to get 2 cigars in 8 days but at least they are damn nice ones. I may have to smoke another one this weekend. Peace out for now.

Damn dude, that really sucks. I wish there was something we could all say to make you feel better, but you can at least know we're thinking about you

Hang in there. For ever appointment you go to, just keep smiling... it'll make them wonder :laugh:
 
My heart goes out to you in deepest empathy. I, too, suffer from degenerative disc disease and the past ten years I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy - if I had one. I hope the doctors can come up with a solution. I had one doctor tell me that if I had the money, I could be repaired. So there may be a way. Don't give up too soon.

I thought this was going to be a happy thread :(. Loren, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep your head up and listen to your doctors. Please check in whenever possible.
