A guy i talked to today said he has 2.5 boxes of the original Anjeo 48s from 2000 left at his personal humidor at home. I think he'd sell one to me if the price was right. :0

My question to all of you:
What is a fair price for a full box of Anjeo 48s from 2000?
and
What would you be willing to pay for them?

Thanks in advance,
-Zach

Like was said in the post about aged Padrons, it really your preference and how much they're worth to you. Make sure you trust the guy and that they are really that old and they were well taken care of. You could just buy a box, send me a couple, and I'll tell you if they were worth it.

Well the biggest difference between the original 2000 Anjeos and every one since is that the originals were wrapped in 7yr old wrappers that AF forgot about. Im not sure how much of a difference that truly makes, if any at all. I definitely trust this guy that they are the real deal.

You had better know your source. There are plenty of guys who would go to the trouble of re celloing a bunch of Anejo's to make them look like original releases. If you have any questions regarding the ource, feel free to pm me.

The going price is probably 4-500 a box. In my opinion a stupid number, they were good but definitely not 500 bucks good.

50th Vert... Just curious... What is with the picture in your signature? I just had to ask....

I was offered four Origional Release mixed Anejos for $75 recently. Did not bite.

Yep, that price range is about right. If you bought the box for $500, that'd be $20 per cigar, or about double MSRP for that vitola. It's reasonable, IMHO, given the aged wrapper, and 5 years of age that are on the cigars. Whether it is worth it to you or not is a personal decision.

Everything depends on how well these cigars have been stored. If for even a week out of the past 260 weeks or so of their life they were not kept well, then you're wasting your money. As Harris said, your source is everything. If you trust him, trust that he has kept them well, and want the cigars... pull the trigger.

Since you're such a stand up guy I know you'd send me one for my birthday. As such, I wouldn't pay anything. :p

The guy has owned a local cigar/pipe shop for 25 years, so i trust he has kept them well. I just don't know. Thats a helluva early Xmas present for me, as well as the most expensive cigar purchase ive ever made. It would make sense to make them on this caliber of cigars...
Decisions Decisions.

If it was me I would grab a box! Not too many cigars, if any, that can touch a well aged Anejo. Box split? LMK.
