I have a 4 cubic foot coolidor and it is maintained by a Cigar Oasis XL. If I go to beadsfrom Heartfelt does that mean I get rid of the Oasis?

I use the RH Beads in a 5 cubic foot wine chiller with no other humidification device and it works like a charm.

Hope this helps

There are folks that use an Oasis in conjunction with beads and have OK results. The beads on their own will work very well though so the Oasis is not needed.

I'm one of those. I use both in my wine fridge. I am thinking about just going back to beads, but I'm trying to work something out. I wouldn't think that both would be necessary in a cooler, but I guess it wouldn't hurt anything.

But how does beads alone circulate the air?...

They don't.

In a large humidor like the one he has (4 cubic feet) it is best to not place all of the Heartfelt Beads in one spot. Distribute them in a few places and this will help with the balance of the humidor. Some type of fan such as the "Oust" fan will help as well.

In a large humi like that circulating is a good idea since humid air rises. Kind of curious why you want to get rid of the CO?
