IDPA

In one of my prior topics IDPA came up, and I was wanting to see who the fellow IDPA members were. If you are not familiar with IDPA it is the International Defensive Pistol Association. It is a competitive pistol league based around practical situtations involved with concealed carry. If you are a fellow member and participator then post so and add on your choice of firearm that you compete with. With IDPA it is always fun to see the variations in firearm types.

I wish. I used to shoot in a variety of competitve situations, but life doesn't quite give me the time anymore. Never did make it up to the IDPA, but shot with a number of their guys. Impressive level of ability in nearly all members.
Pistol was a Kimber Tactical 1911.

I shoot a few IPSC 3 gun matches each year. The IDPA stuff looks like fun too, I just don't know where any matches are around my area.

I shot IDPA for 2 years, while at Fort Bragg. I was SS with CDP, Springfield 1911 Officer, and EX with SSP Beretta 9mm / Sig 357 / Glock .40. I was never good enough to make the Regionals, but I had a lot of fun. The Club I used to shoot at, lost it's IDPA sanction, and then I Moved to Fort Hood and have not been home long enough to get back into it.
