Iconic Leaf is a new cigar company which is getting ready to launch a fresh line of cigars. The cigars are made in the Dominican, and the blend consists of:
Wrapper: Brazilian Maduro
Binder: Cameroon
Filler: Dominican
The cigar I smoked is the Toro - 6.25 x 50.
This cigar is box pressed, constructed well, and packed/rolled nicely. Pre-light aroma was tobacco and earth. The cigar lit very easily, and stayed lit all the way through with very little touch up required.
Flavor started out as pure tobacco with moderate red pepper up front. It mellowed out to produce more of an earthy, coffee-like flavor with hints of dried fruit. The red pepper was the most obvious flavor I detected, along with hints of coffee throughout. A medium-full body cigar with noticeable hints of nicotine.
Overall, a good cigar with excellent construction. I think allowing this cigar to rest for a few months will make it even a better smoke. Quite impressed with this cigar, and I look forward to seeing Iconic launch.
